The Club was founded and began to operate in 1970. The first home of the club was in Douridos Street, Mesolongiou Square, in the area of Pagrati in Athens. In 2001 the Club moved to a larger space in 28 Theagenous & Dracondos street, in the area behind Caravel Hotel in Athens.
It should be noted that the Club was founded in 1970, Kukkiwon was founded in 1972 and the World Tae Kwon Do Federation in 1973.
It is among the first clubs to spread Tae Kwon Do in Greece. It started working with the Korean Kang Jang Jin (8th Dan WTF) as the first instructor, the Korean Choi Chong Lim (6th Dan WTF) coming after, followed by the main instructor of the Club for the next 30 years, Mr. Choi Dukkyu (8th Dan WTF). Since 1998, Spyros Loumanis (6th Dan WTF), personal trainee of Mr. Choi Dukkyu for 30 years and approved Coach from the General Secretariat of Sports, is the chief instructor of the Club, under the leadership of Mr. Choi Dukkyu who is Examiner at all belt levels.
The Club is recognized by the General Secretariat for Sports and is member of the Greek Federation of Tae Kwon Do (ELOT) participating in competitions organized by ELOT as well as international competitions.
So far more than 2000 students have acquired training in the Club and around 20 persons have become professional instructors.
A strong success of the club is that many old trainees continue to practice until now, at an age of 40 years or more, holding Dans from the 1st to the 5th, thus always improving their technique and strengthening their relations through Tae Kwon Do.
Seminars by Mr. Choi Dukkyu, tournament participations, joint training with other clubs and educational trips to Korea, are some of the activities of the Club.
The Club is open throughout the summer, not wishing to interrupt the practice of its trainees.
