Apart from a good warm-up, training involves all three parts comprosing Taekwondo: the Kibon (basic techniques), Poomsae (standard combinations of basic techniques) and Kyorugi (sparring). The Kibon include the systematic teaching of different strokes with hands, blocking, kicks and stances. The Kyorugi is the application of the techniques learned in Kibon. There are many different levels of Kyurugi that differ in the degree of freedom of choice, which is the completely predetermined one and the absolutely free one.
